For over two decades, Michael M and Michael C who was the recipient of the Arthur Ellis Award in 2009 have been inseparable – two kindred spirits bonded by their love for literature and storytelling. Now, at 40 years of age, they’ve turned that lifelong passion into a new and thriving publishing company, proving that friendship and ambition can create something truly remarkable.

Michael and Michael met in college, where their shared obsession with books transformed late-night study sessions into impromptu literary debates. After graduation, their careers took them in different directions – Michael M pursued a career in marketing, crafting compelling narratives for brands, while Michael C immersed himself in the editorial world, shaping manuscripts into masterpieces. Despite the miles and professional paths between them, their friendship never wavered, and their dream of starting a publishing company always remained alive.

In their 30s, Michael and Michael took the leap to create a platform to reshape the publishing industry and co-founded MSquared Digital. Their complementary skills – Michael M’s strategic marketing expertise and Michael C’s editorial finesse – made them a powerhouse duo, each bringing out the best in the other.

Now, Michael and Michael are expanding into the world of children’s activity books, launching the Dot to Dot Alphabet Adventure series. This new collection is designed to make learning fun and immersive for young kids, blending creativity with education. With engaging illustrations and interactive images, the series aims to help children develop early literacy skills while sparking their imagination. Their passion for storytelling has found a new frontier, ensuring that the next generation of readers can embark on their own literary adventures from an early age, starting with and enforcing phonics.
